What does belonging to a Sorority mean?
We are elite. All 11 astronauts from the Apollo mission were Greek.
We are part of something bigger than ourselves. We give and give to the bigger purpose.
We learn what it means to be part of a team. We hold ourselves responsible to our sisters.
We learn how to deal with different personality skills.
As members of the Sorority, our skills extend beyond our majors. We have non profit experience, how to advertise events, delegate and motivate. As officers, we learn to lead by example and how to hold our Sisters accountable. These experiences translate to exceptional stories for job interviews and help to distinguish us from the rest.
New grads should list their involvement in their Sorority on their resume. Highlight your leadership experience. Engineers would do well to showcase their non-technical skills as it shows diversity and flexibility. These skills will make you stand out from the other resumes in the pile.
